What is geotagging?
Geotagging is the process of adding precise global positioning data. The specific latitude and longitude can be added to a website or image found online. Geotagging helps the search engines make the connection between your content (photo) and the location of what the user is trying to find. For example, if you are searching for a restaurant near you on your mobile and you are in Warsaw you won’t be presented with restaurants from London in your search results.
In a business environment – if someone is searching for a particular service in the area, geotagging will help to deliver relevant information about near locations with such services.
Geotagging a picture
